Gohar Hovhannisyan is the newly elected Vice-President of the European Students’ Union for 2019/20 and currently holds her mandate as an Executive Committee member since 2017.

Her main focus is in the area of quality of higher education, with an emphasis given to quality assurance, learning and teaching and meaningful students’ participation in HE governance. She has extensive experience of student representation that started from the local level at the governing board of the Armenian State University of Economics and later was the International officer at the national student union of Armenia.

As the representative of ESU she currently serves as an Executive Board member of EQAR and Steering Committee member for the 2019 European Learning & Teaching Forum of EUA contributing to the development of the program of the forum. She also represents ESU in the Quality Assurance peer learning group of Bologna Implementation Coordination Group.
